Allah Loves Gentleness

My youngest brother is one of the most gentle people you’ll ever meet. And I say that because it astounds me every time! There’ll always be times where you’ll be surrounded by people (family, friends, colleagues) and something about their character makes you pause and reflect. Recently for me, that’s been my brother’s gentleness. I just find it so interesting because ‘Gentle’ isn’t in my top three words to describe my family but amazingly Allah has gifted it to him in abundance in such a way that it just stands out.

And last night I was thinking about the beauty of this hadith,

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

O Aisha, Allah is gentle and He loves gentleness. He rewards for gentleness what is not granted for harshness and He does not reward anything else like it.

Gentleness beautifies all things and it moves hearts in a way that is unexplainable. So for me, I’m taking inspiration from my brother and this hadith to strive to embody this quality.

Please make dua that Allah swt continues to increase my brother in his disposition, Ameen.
