These are the ayahs that I completely botched in the audio journal.
‘And as for man, when his Lord tries him and (thus) is generous to him and favours him, he says, “My Lord has honoured me.” But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, “My Lord has humiliated me.” 89:15 – 16
“(To the righteous it will be said), ‘O reassured soul, Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing (to Him), And enter among My (righteous) servants, And enter My paradise.” 89:27-30
Can I say I’m so proud of myself for implementing Brene Brown’s teachings today!
(P.S. I don’t watch this show before anyone messages me lol. I do enjoy the social commentary it sparks on Twitter though).
And shout out to my parents because I could not have asked for better cheerleaders.
I love this! Love the way you’re reading your journals out loud. I resonated with a lot of your words particularly what you discussed in relation to joy – fellow student here in law and there are many times I’ve had breakdowns throughout the past years with the stress and facing unwanted outcomes. Remaining connected to Allah and really thinking about the blessings Allah has given us keeps me grounded because we are so consumed in our studies/dunya matters that we forget about the goodness right in front of us. Sending love your way sis and May Allah give you barakah in all that you do 🙂 xx
