Mental Health Spotlight

Listen To Chester Bennington Describe What It Feels Like to Live In His Head

Chester Bennington wasn’t someone that I was familiar with prior to his death but coming across this video of him speaking about his mental health a few days after his suicide was poignant for me. His description of what it feels like for him to live in his head will definitely resonate with people who have mental health illness. It’s important to understand that depression, in particular, doesn’t have a ‘face,’ people in your lives who seem to have it all could be experiencing depression.  Lastly, I just want to emphasise the importance of seeking help when you need it because it’s unfortunate that the world has lost someone who brought light to so many people’s lives.

I don’t say nice things to myself. There’s another Chester in here who wants to take me down.
